Card Security Update

Recent reports indicate as many as 40 million Target shoppers who visited the big chain store in the three weeks after Thanksgiving may have had their credit and debit card information stolen. In response to this breach, 1st City Credit Union is working to secure all members’ information.

We received reports indicating which member accounts were included in the theft, and will notify impacted cardholders by mail. In order to protect these members and their accounts, we will issue new 1st City Visa® debit and credit cards. Existing 1st City cards will work until the new cards arrive. Please note, due to the volume of cards that were involved nationwide, new cards may take up to three weeks to arrive.

These steps will only be taken for accounts listed on the reports provided by our data processor. If you do not receive notice from 1st City, your cards remain secure and no additional action is necessary.

For assistance regarding this matter, please contact us at (314) 353-6676. We apologize for this inconvenience; however, we feel these steps must be taken to protect your personal accounts and information.
