New resources are available on the safety of your credit union funds
The recent financial crisis, including the failure of some large banks, may have credit union members like you wondering about the safety of your credit union funds. We have good news…your money is safe!

The credit union is well capitalized and does not take unnecessary risks with your money. Most importantly, your credit union funds are federally insured up to at least $250,000.

Not one penny of insured savings has ever been lost by a member of a federally-insured credit union.

The credit union’s regulator, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), has set up a toll-free hotline to call for more information on the safety of your credit union funds (1-800-755-1030, ext. 1). The federal agency has also developed an online tool kit with additional information (http://www.ncua.gov/ShareInsurance/Index.htm).
